Arvillia Heads, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on August 29, 2026, in Plainview, TX. A graveside service will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview, TX.

Arvillia was born on May 4, 1941, to W. D. Burton and Fannie Wooley in Panola County, Texas.

Arvillia was a woman of deep faith who treasured her time in the Bible and loved her church community. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether working on puzzle books or lifting her voice in song. Above all, she cherished her shopping trips with close friends, adventures made even more special with her grandson happily serving as their designated driver.

Arvillia is preceded in death by her parents, W. D. Burton, Fannie Wooley, and Cleve Wooley; Her husband, Sam Heads; her daughter, Tania Deann Heads; and her granddaughter, Ashley Heads.

Those left to cherish her memory are her grandsons, Derrick Heads of Amarillo, and Todd Heads of Plainview; her three grandchildren, Eboni Heads, Jamarion William and Khyra Riddley; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; plus a lot of friends. She will be greatly missed.
