Obituary

A Celebration of Life service for Anna Fuson, 89, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Paul Armes, president of Wayland Baptist University, officiating, assisted by her son-in-law, Danny Andrews.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.
Mrs. Fuson died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. She had been a resident of Westridge Manor since May of 2013.
Born in Antlers, Okla. on June 22, 1925, she married O.E. Fuson on April 17, 1943 in Carlsbad, N.M. They farmed in the Lamesa area for several years before he entered the Baptist ministry and pastored churches in Vealmoor, Sparenburg, Patricia, Andrews and Tucson, Ariz. He later was an agent for Lincoln Income Life Insurance. He died Feb. 18, 2002.
Mrs. Fuson worked for Buckner's Children Home in Lubbock for 11 years before moving to Plainview in 1988.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Leota Hardgrove Sunday School Class. She also had been a member of the Covenant Hospital Auxiliary, working in the gift shop.
She was a faithful Christian witness, inquiring of neighbors and acquaintances about their relationship with the Lord and church membership.
Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Andrews, and husband Danny of Plainview; three grandchildren, Brandon Andrews of Berwick, Pa.; Kayla Peltoma and husband Craig of Dallas; and Brad Andrews and wife Kayla K. of Plainview; and four great-grandchildren, Karsten, Brylee and Kallie Andrews of Plainview and Josh Peltoma of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
The family extends special thanks to Westridge Manor and her caregivers Linda Gomez, Yessenia Resendes, Dee Dee Arroyos, Reyna Arroyos, Judy Castillo, Pearl Garcia, Nati Ochoa and Pat Jackson.
The family suggests memorials to the O.E. and Anna Fuson Endowed Scholarship to benefit ministerial students at Wayland Baptist University, 1900 W. Seventh, CMB 1295, Plainview, TX 79072.
