Amelia Moralez, 76, of Plainview Texas, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Rosary will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel Planview, Texas. Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Bartley Memorial Chapel, Guy Atkinson, Officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Bartley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moralez was born on December 31, 1947, to Armando and Carmen Ruiz, Sr. in Cotulla, La Salle, County, Texas.  She married the love of her life, Jose Gonzales Lopez on November 4, 1964.

Amelia worked in Home Health Care. She loved being accompanied by family and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.  In her spare time, she enjoyed getting scratch off tickets, watching soap operas, and working in the yard.

Those left to cherish her memories, her children, Ruben and spouse Sylvia Lopez, Jerry and spouse Patti Lopez, Rene Borrego, all of Plainview, Christina Marshall and spouse Lexie Lozano of Odessa. Her sisters, Rose Ruiz of Dallas, Margie and spouse Nick Pieper of Muscatine, Iowa. Her brother Ricardo Ruiz and spouse Marty Mejorado of Plainview. Her grandkids, Jonathan, Michael, Jera, Ruben Joe, Isaiah, Zeighdyn, J'Brii, Sheridan and Jazaine.  13 great grandkids, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Armando and Carmen Ruiz, Sr., her husband, Jose Gonzalez Lopez, her sister Elia Villalpando and her brother Armando Ruiz, Jr.
