Funeral services for Alvin Royce Sedgwick, 62 of Plainview will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Sedgwick died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Plainview. He was born January 14, 1953 in Amherst, Texas to Alvin Amos and Oneta Jones Sedgwick. Royce loved the Lord and told jokes to make people laugh. He used his beautiful voice to worship God and sang hymns in church choir and at the nursing home. He is survived by his mother, Oneta Jones Sedgwick of Plainview; sister, Joyce Golden of Brownfield; brother, Ronnie Sedgwick of Panorama Village, Texas; nieces, Shelley Chester of Weatherford, Kelli Flowers of Sudan, Kristi Jarman of Farwell, Robin Rekieta of Lubbock and Janna Forbes of Brownfield; nephews, Scott Hargrove of Sudan, Tim Sedgwick of Tomball, Texas and Cory Golden of Littlefield; aunts and uncles, Gail and Jo Sogard of Wichita Falls, Doug and Doris Jones of Graham, Donald and LaVenia Jones of Slaton, Mary Helen Jones of Slaton and Nancy May of Graham and many cousins and loved ones.
