Funeral services for Allen M. Jordan, 64 of Plainview will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Emmanuel Church of God in Christ with Elder Robert Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Jordan passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Lubbock. Allen was born on June 16, 1949 in Memphis, Texas to Olden and Odessia Smith Jordan. He moved to Plainview at an early age and attended Booker T. Washington. He married Carolyn Wade on February 16, 1972 in Plainview. He worked for Plainview Oil Mill then ADM Oil Mill in Lubbock for many years. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jordan of Plainview; 3 daughters, Belinda Jordan of Plainview, Alexis Summerville and husband Quincy of Los Angeles and Jennifer Jordan of Plainview; 1 son, Jonathan Jordan and wife Meagan of Plainview; 4 brothers, Henry Jordan of Lubbock, Tommy Jordan and wife Terrence of Lubbock, Richard Jordan and wife Yvonne of Fort Worth and David Jordan and wife Rena of Fort Worth; 1 sister, Dorothy Bradley of Houston; 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by both parents and 2 sisters, Betty Jordan and Janie Coleman.
