Funeral services for Fred Pena, 47, of Plainview will be at 1:00p.m. on Monday May 1st, 2017 at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Raymond Gonzales officiating and Eliseo Pena, Jr. assisting. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park. His family will receive friends on Sunday April 30th from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home. Fred passed from this life in the early morning hours of April 27, 2017. Alfred "Fred" Pena was born on May 9, 1969 in Lockney, TX to Eliseo "Alex" Pena,Sr. and Petra (Soliz) Pena. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1988 and worked for the City of Plainview Park Department for 15 years and most recently worked Buddy's Home Furnishings for the past two years. His favorite football team was the Pittsburg Steelers. Fred's main passions were family, fishing, and music. Fred was well known as the bass guitarist for "Next Exit". Fred was preceded in death by his father, Eliseo "Alex" Pena, Sr.; son, Gene Fred Pena; brother, Tony Pena; sister, Erica Pena; and nephew, Scott Salazar. Those left to cherish his memory include; mother, Petra Pena of Plainview; brothers, Eliseo Pena, Jr. and wife, Eva of Amarillo, Rudolph Pena and wife, Tina of McAllen, Daniel Pena and wife, Lisa and Richard Pena and wife, Maria all of Plainview; sister, Nora Pena of Plainview; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
