He married Debra White on July 10, 1982 in Amarillo. He is survived by his wife, Debra Gomez of Amarillo; 3 sons, Timothy Phillips of Amarillo, Paul Gomez and wife Lorie of Plainview and Allen Gomez of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Tabitha Salas and husband Johnny and Monica Gomez both of Amarillo; his parents, Alfredo and Tomasa Gomez of Lubbock; 4 brothers, Alfredo Gomez, Mario Gomez and Joe Gomez all of Lubbock and David Gomez of Dallas; 3 sisters, Maria Gomez and Sandy Martinez both of Grand Prairie and Maricela Gomez of Dallas and 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Juan and Fraustino Gomez and 1 sister, Lupe Aguilar.
