Albert Frederick Lason, 91, died April 10, 2026, in Plainview, TX. He was born December 13, 1934, at the Stork’s Nest in Tucson, Arizona, the son of Arthur Frederick Lason and Violet Louise Jones Lason Huggins. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, April 18, 2026, at Bartley Funeral Home, 1200 S. Interstate 27, Plainview, TX, Guy Atkinson Officiating. Arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. 

Albert served in the US Navy on board the USS Mountrail during the Korean War. After he was discharged, he returned to Douglas, Arizona where he met and married Mary Ann Clanton on July 23, 1956. They celebrated 69 years of marriage.

Albert worked 35 years for El Paso Natural Gas in Arizona and New Mexico. Albert was a self-taught man who excelled in woodworking and carpentry, making beautiful furniture for his family and friends. He was also a professional photographer, running Lason’s Photography for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Charles Lason and Jamie Lason and his sisters, Ruby Rice, Lois Underwood, Ruthy Lason, Elsa Juarez and Patrica Mutz. One son-in -Law and two granddaughters.

In addition to his wife, Mary Ann (Clanton) Lason, he is survived by son, Stephan Lason and Trish Shanks. Daughter, Margie Lason Knight and husband Gerald. Son, Michael Lason, Daughter, Susan Lason Chacon and husband Lorenzo and son, Chris Lason and wife, Melrena. 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. One sister, Shirley Morales and many nieces and nephews.
