How We Began
I am Thad Bartley, the owner of Bartley Funeral Home. We opened our doors in December of 1998 and since that time we have had the distinct honor of serving the families of Plainview in their most grievous and difficult hours. The staff at Bartley Funeral Home has changed over the years but the quality of service and dedication to the families we serve has not. We are committed to providing the best service possible while offering economical options for taking care of loved ones. My experience in the funeral industry dates back to my apprenticeship at Harding Orr and McDaniel Funeral Homes in El Paso, conducting funerals for various religions including Catholic, Jewish, Mormon, Chinese, Buddhist and Protestant. Other funeral services included military services for one star and three star generals.
I continued my funeral service working with my father, Bob Bartley, at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. My father was well known and respected in the funeral industry. He served as president of the Texas Funeral Directors Association in 1988 and was known for his fairness, sincerity and honesty by all who knew him. He passed away in October of 2006. I have tried to carry
on those same principles of fairness, honesty,
and sincerity in dealing with the families who
allow us to serve them in their time of sorrow.
